Sanitary fixture installation (biały montaż, literally "white assembly," named for the white porcelain of traditional sanitary ware) covers fitting the finished bathroom and kitchen fixtures — toilet, washbasin, bathtub or shower enclosure, taps, and often the connection of a washing machine or dishwasher — to plumbing that was already roughed in at an earlier construction stage.
It is one of the last stages of interior finishing, carried out only after tiling, painting, and other wet and dusty work is complete, since installed sanitary fixtures are easily damaged or dirtied by earlier trades. A unit finished to developer standard does not include this stage — it is left to the buyer or their contractor to complete after handover, unless the developer's offering explicitly includes an enhanced or turnkey finishing package.
Cost estimates and renovation timelines commonly list sanitary fixture installation as a distinct, separately priced line item, since it depends heavily on the fixtures chosen and is typically billed by the number of points installed rather than by area.
